This was my first time in Italy and I have to say, we did it right. We explored, toured, shopped, ate the yummiest food and drank delish wine (I consider now loving red one of the best things to come out of it!).
Here’s the breakdown of it all…

Rome-
Stayed: The Edition
Highlights: Sidecar ride around the city, pasta and gelato making class, shopped the Spanish steps, Colliseum + Forum tour, Vatican City tour, Sistine Chapel

Food:
Rosciolo for lunch
Da Enzo for lunch
Pierluigi for dinner
Lumen at the St. Regis (we ate there twice actually, once in the beginning and the final night when we went back to Rome)
Tuscany:
Stayed: Castiglion Del Bosco
Highlights: Truffle hunting with Brio the pup, pizza making for the kids, ice skating (plastic rink but still cute), meeting Santa, the Christmas market
Food:
Osteria La Canonica it’s that one that’s at The Rosewood (everything we did was on property)
One night Jordan and I even had dinner and cocktails in the library because it had the coziest vibe.
On the way to Florence we stopped at Fattoria Castello di Montoriggioni to see how wine is made and have a yummy lunch. The lunch and wine pairing was the focus, less so about making the wine. But it was a bang for your buck lunch!
Florence:
Stayed: Portrait Roma
Highlights: Accademia, perfume and cologne class, amazing shopping, a golf cart ride around the city, Uffizi museum. Nothing like a wine window in Florence! A must stop on the golf cart ride.

Food:
Gilli for lunch (was ready for a good salad and was right by shopping)
Acqua al 2 for dinner
La Giostra for dinner
Venice:
Stayed: Ca’ di Dio
Highlights: Mask making, Murano for glass blowing, Burrano to tour the cute town (lunch at Al Gatto Nero), tour of Doge’ Palace and St. Mark’s Basilica, gondola ride. Also great shopping.

Food:
Harry’s Bar for lunch (Cipriani original, must get a Bellini and lemon meringue)
Da Ivo for dinner
Al Covo for dinner
Carpaccio (next to hotel was great for New Year’s Eve location)
