How I gear up for a vacation and keep myself (semi) sane
It starts with packing cubes. I bought these for the kids in different colors (which after packing them up I realize how crucial this is for making it super easy to locate whose stuff is whose!).
My luggage is always Away. The kids will have this and I’ll be using this. I think I need more than one larger bag this time though!
The week before leaving I can’t be bothered even more than usual to make dinner, so Sakara it is! This new detox is insane and involves all the stuff! I especially love the tonics and drinks in this Level II: Detox and the fact that I don’t have to think! My code is CocoSakara for 20% off. Even Lou Dog is intrigued!
I start a couple days before vacation to fill a rolling rack so I can visually see what I have. Then the editing process starts. I usually wait until a couple of hours before we leave for the final bags zip!!
I write down every detail of my trip from where we ate, what we ate, to where we shopped and explored in my Smythson travel diary. I love it bc I go back so many years in mine and can reference things down to what time I made last year’s Petite Lutetia res in Paris!
I love using this bag for the plane to do my whole bag-within-a-bag thing. It’s lightweight and so cute! I’m partial to the Vee x Fouquet’s collab I just got my hands on last week.
